Wallcast Shutting Down: Thanks for Your Support

We started LimeFlag Inc. (the company behind Wallcast) to rapidly build and try out new ideas. Wallcast was our first test and, in preparing to move onto new projects, we’ve decided to shut it down to help focus our efforts.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined and contributed to Wallcast. You have been the heart of Wallcast. We are extremely grateful for your love toward the product and we appreciated your feedback. We still believe that Wallcast is an amazing concept so, who knows, maybe we’ll be making a comeback!

Important Note: We’re shutting down the Wallcast website on January 15th, 2013. To download your pictures, login to your account and make sure to save them a safe place before the site is closed.

New Version 0.98 of Wallcast for Windows

We’ve just released a maintenance update of the Windows application. It’s mainly resolving issues reported by users and addresses a few stability problems. You can download it manually from here or via the auto-update notification in the application. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Changes:
- Fixed occasional crash on Windows startup
- Fixed issues when running Windows in large font mode
- Now using system configured proxy settings
- Minor user interface tweaks

Thanks to everyone who voted to select the new wallpaper backgrounds amongst the 12 we proposed. Looks like some of you are in the mood for soaking in sun rays while others are dreaming of space-travel! The top 4 voted themes are available right now.

If you’re in need of a change in scenery, use the “Manage Wallpaper” command from the Wallcast application, login to your Wallcast account, and click the “Change Theme” button.

Hello Wallcast Users from Around the World!

In the spirit of establishing a closer dialogue with you, our beloved users, we’ve put up this blog dedicated to Wallcast. We’ll mainly be posting about new features and product releases but we’ll also, once in a while, ask for your opinion because we want to make sure Wallcast evolves according to your needs. We’re looking forward to a two-way conversation where we can also get your input on how we could improve Wallcast.
